Week 5 and 6 of Term 2

K AY A, Welcome to week 5, half way through this term already! It was a busy two weeks as you can see from the jam packed blog below, well done to the Year 6 students for maintaining their learning whilst balancing new and exciting projects. It was great to see so many people out supporting our wonderful community and school at the OLC v DPS soccer event on Friday night! Unfortunately, we didn't come away with a win, but it was lots of fun! Over the past week we have been exploring persuasive devices in more detail, so don't be surprised if your child is being a little more persuasive than usual. In the coming weeks we will be using this knowledge of language devices in our own persuasive texts. In Maths, we have been working on equivalent fractions and are now applying this knowledge in adding and subtracting fractions to solve problems.
