Term 4 - Week 8

   K a y a, My goodness, the end is in sight, only two weeks left with our little 6H family. I am full of mixed emotions, sadness that they will be leaving but happiness and excitement for our excursion and graduation.  I would like to take this opportunity to send you all a massive thank you for your support this year. Thank you for your kind emails, patience and laughs over the year.  As there a lot of reminders below I have not included much other information. Thanks guys for your patience and understanding over the last two weeks. We will have a very busy two weeks ahead with lots of practice and preparation for both the Christmas concert and the graduation so lots of rest ahead for the Year 6 students.   K a y a, Strap in guys, we have a busy three weeks ahead!!!!!  ⭐ Merit Award ⭐ Well done to Xavier Armstrong for receiving this weeks merit award. This is for the development and dedication to your leadership role this year. Xavier, you enter every day at school with envious energy and an incredible zest for life. Xavier, you display excellence when the task taps into your deep creativity and imagination. A perfect example of this excellence is listening to your creative, hilarious, and imaginative poetry this term. Well done Xavier. Graduation Practice and Year 6 Busy Bee  On this upcoming Friday, the Year 6 students will be very busy! We have our first graduation practice on Friday at the church. We will then help out some of the parish community with a busy bee around the garden of the church. Term 4 - Week 6

K a y a, Can you believe we are heading into week 6 and we finish in week 9?  OH-MY-GOODNESS!  The year 6 students have now completed all their PAT testing - Yipee! We just have a few more units of learning ahead of us, so still a few more busy weeks ahead. We will continue looking at poetry in writing, measurement in mathematics, Asia in HASS, novel studies in reading, preparation for graduation in health and MJR in Religion. In the next two weeks we will be starting our artwork for graduation. Every day, the leadership team will visit the classes and count how many students either walked or rode to school.   K a y a, We are halfway there - yipee!  Well done to all the Year 6 students on demonstrating excellence at the Swim Carnival on Friday! What awesome leaders we have at our school. A massive thank you to Mrs Sinclair on a wonderful day at the pool!   πŸ’“ ****Reminder for the students for Monday to bring in their novel and their book club work**** *Also* There is a pupil free day on Friday this week!  Important - Graduation PowerPoint  I am are hoping that you can find and email me a photo of your child as a baby and and a photo of your child in Kindy . We would like to create a PowerPoint for Graduation with these special photos, as well as others from their time at OLC. If you have any ripper photos from your child's time at OLC, we would greatly appreciate any donations. Please email them through so I can get onto this job as soon as I can.
