K a y a, My goodness, the end is in sight, only two weeks left with our little 6H family. I am full of mixed emotions, sadness that they will be leaving but happiness and excitement for our excursion and graduation.  I would like to take this opportunity to send you all a massive thank you for your support this year. Thank you for your kind emails, patience and laughs over the year. Well done to the students on their mature attitude and effort at the Parish Busy Bee on Friday despite the heat. The students put in a mammoth effort and demonstrated the OLC school values throughout the very hot day. The church looked wonderful when we left.  As there a lot of reminders below I have not included much other information. Thanks guys for your patience and understanding over the last two weeks. We will have a very busy two weeks ahead with lots of practice and preparation for both the Christmas concert and the graduation so lots of rest ahead for the Year 6 students. Thanks guys! ☘☘☘☘ Term 4 w

K a y a, I cannot believe that there is only 3 weeks left with 6H.  I have just realised that we are now super close to the finish line and it's that time of year where no matter how hard I try to slow everything down it is just not going to happen! With reports on the go, seesaw tasks being prepared, graduation around the corner and our final excursion less than 3 weeks away, I feel that I am going to be constantly running...so apologies if I do miss something along the way. Please let me know if I do, and I'll get on top of it straight away!  This week we had some very big laughs as the kids creatively came up with their own rap songs. They were full of figurative language whilst also including a joke or two. 😎   This weekend I went back to my Irish roots and watched the amazing "A Taste of Ireland" show. It was spectacular and made my slightly homesick. ☘☘☘☘ Term 4 week 7 Information:  Seesaw Reporting With the end of Semester Two approaching us, your child will

K a y a, Can you believe that we are heading into week 6 already. I am so proud of the mature attitude that the students have started to show towards their learning specifically looking at the amount of tests they have had over the past few weeks. You should be very proud of their effort and input, no matter the grade they have all tried and worked their very best. 🏆 Did you know that Saturday was World Kindness Day? Engaging in acts of kindness produces endorphins, the brain's natural painkiller! Perpetually kind people have 23% less cortisol (the stress hormone) and age two times slower than the average population! So, we challenge you to make sure you get one act of random kindness every day this week. 💓💕 Term 4 week 5 Learning:  Year 6 Gift  Wow! Was all I could say, when I saw our amazing Year 6 gift to the school for 2021. Above is a picture of the Six Seasons mural on the water tank at the back of the oval. Thank you to the amazing parents that helped out and made this

K a y a, Can you believe that we are heading into week 5 already, I cannot believe I have only half a term left to spend time with our beautiful 6H family. Hopefully the weekend has been restful and given your families a chance to recharge and reconnect ready for another great week. There was lots happening last week at OLC. Including celebrating our first OLC Wellbeing Week, this included sound healing, yoga sessions, square breathing, mindfulness colouring and a bush walk. Last week also included some very funky dance moves with our OLC Silent Disco on Friday night. Thank you to the P&F for arranging such a fun night for the students. 💃💃💃 ⭐⭐ Merit Awards ⭐⭐ Well done to Orlando for receiving our 6H Merit Awards for week 4 Term 4. Orlando has shown exceptional growth this year, Orlando has demonstrated increased levels of maturity towards his learning and he has vastly improved his organisational skills. He is showing that he is ready for his transition to high school. I app
