K AY A, It has been a wonderful first two weeks back to school despite the crazy winter weather, we have jumped back into routines, worked hard and continuing to develop our leadership skills. We have a busy few weeks ahead, including camp preparation, human development workshops, class totem incursions and OLC mission market day. Hoo-wee we are some busy Year 6 students in the upcoming weeks!  Making Jesus Real: On Thursday afternoon the students from 6H, worked very hard to sort out thousands of bottle caps by colour so that they can be recycled with Precious Plastics and turned into something awesome like flower pots, surf fins, etc. Thank you team 6H and well done you all smashed it!  A massive shout out and congratulations to James, Max, and Zeph on their impressive submission in the CNA Minecraft Challenge! They were judged as the best submission for Year 6 overall. In recognition of their achievement, CEWA were thrilled to present Our Lady of the Cape Primary School with a $30

Good evening parents, This week the students should have brought home two important notes regarding important initiatives that they will be participating in. Please see below for further information about both. Human Development Workshop On Wednesday 2nd August, week 3 the students will participate in Human Development talks that will be presented by The Centre for Life, Marriage and Family. They will cover an introductory program on growth and development with the Year 6 students via zoom. A permission slip was be sent home TODAY that must be completed and returned for your child to participate. Please ensure this is returned by the end of week 2 (next week), otherwise we will assume your child is not participating and will be sent to another classroom. We will also be starting the discussion of our bodies and their changes during Health & Religion sessions over the upcoming weeks also. If this is something you would also like to start discussing at home over the upcoming weeks,

I had a wonderful time, but cannot wait to get back into Term 3 and to see the 6H family and to hear the students stories.  It was wonderful to celebrate the fond farewells of the wonderful Mr Lee, with you on the last week of school. Below you can view the Year 6 gift. We gifted Mr Lee, with blueberries, as they symbolize growth and hope for the future. We wish Mr Lee a fun adventure on the road ahead! Please come back and visit us at OLC though!  All the Year 6 students had the opportunity to write Mr Lee a message, that was hung on the tree and sign the pot. An extra special shout to the art team that skillfully, decorated the rest of the pot with OLC artwork. These stud
