And we are back!!!!!! Term 3 Begins!
Kaya,
I hope this wintery weather has treated you well throughout the holidays, I know for me it has reminded of life back in Ireland. I spent my time on the holidays, catching up with friends and family. We spent time in between the rainstorms hiking and found the beautiful Quinninup Falls, it was beautiful and well worth the hike. The Wadandi People used Quinninup Falls to perform ceremony and I could definitely see why, with its powerful energy but yet being so peaceful and tranquil. Taking only your memories and leaving only your footprints is the Wadandi People's only request. I am really looking forward to getting back to school and hearing all about the student's holiday, I miss our 6H Family!
Now let's get down to business..... The start of term is going to be incredibly busy with Confirmation in the second week...I thought I would send a few quick reminders in the lead up. I'm not sure how you work but I know that too much at once is overwhelming, so I have only included what is important for this week..
WEEK 1 REMINDERS
PARENT/CHILD CONFIRMATION WORKSHOPPARENT LETTER
It is getting closer to our Retreat Day (Friday week 2) and your child's letter is almost due back. In the previous blog, I discussed that EVERY child will receive a letter from their parents to read and reflect upon. Please see the previous blog about the letter requirements and further suggestions. There is now only 7 more days to get it back to me. Please ensure they are all handed in by FRIDAY 23rd JULY!!
All students will be participating in our Confirmation Retreat day on Friday 30th July. Mrs Meyer has been working incredibly hard to ensure this day is special for all of the children. There are a range of activities that the children will take part in on the day, including receiving your letter. They will also participate in a Reconciliation liturgy and practice for Confirmation the next day.
The day will take place in the hall and the students will be able to wear free dress. The school will be providing lunch for the children and we ask that each student brings a share plate for recess (just from past experience a small plate of food will be plenty).
- Boys are to bring a plate of savoury food
- Girls are to bring a plate of sweet food
Please contact me if you have any further questions.
