Term 4 Week 3 learning and Important Information

 Kaya,

I hope you have had a lovely start to the week and have had some time to enjoy the last (hopefully) of the rain! I cannot believe we are heading into week four, which means there is only another five weeks with your beautiful children. 😭😢😭 Well done to the students on making it through a very busy week of PAT Test including: Reading, Math, Spelling and Vocabulary. We have just one left to go on Tuesday - Grammar and Punctuation. They do not need to prepare for this in any way, however it is important that they get a good night's rest the night before to ensure they are refreshed and ready.

⭐⭐Merit Awards⭐⭐
Well done to Lilly De Marchi for receiving our 6H Merit Awards for week 3 Term 4. Lilly is a wonderful leader in our school. Lilly has received this award for her positive start to term 4. Lilly is continuing to develop her organisation skills, and this will stand her in good stead for high school. Lilly always attempts to add insightful input to whole class discussions, these inputs add depth and can provide an emotional connection to a subject. Lilly shows kindness to all who surround her and can make the class and her friends laugh with her quick wit and personal strength of humour. Well, done Lilly.

6H has got Talent:
Well done to both Holly Greening and Jeremy Collis, both students work very hard both in class and out of class on their passions, growth and learning. Thank you for both being amazing leaders in our school and your sport and passions.

We would like to create a PowerPoint for Graduation with these special photos, as well as others from their time at OLC. If you have any ripper photos from your child's time at OLC, we would greatly appreciate any donations. Please email them through so I can get onto this job as soon as I can.

Character Strengths
Dear Parents, currently at OLC we are focusing on modeling and observing different character strengths. The strengths that we will focus on are taken directly from the VIA Institute for Character. If you wanted to learn more about this please follow the link to the 24 character strengths: https://www.viacharacter.org/character-strengths
This upcoming week we are looking for people who show Love of Learning. Can you encourage your child to reflect on the following?

Students who have not completed their homework will complete it during class time and during recess and lunch, an email will also be sent home to notify you. This organisation and time management skills is vital to aid in an easier transition to high school.
