We are halfway there - yipee! 

Well done to all the Year 6 students on demonstrating excellence at the Swim Carnival on Friday! What awesome leaders we have at our school. A massive thank you to Mrs Sinclair on a wonderful day at the pool!  💓

Important - Graduation PowerPoint 
I am are hoping that you can find and email me a photo of your child as a baby and and a photo of your child in Kindy. We would like to create a PowerPoint for Graduation with these special photos, as well as others from their time at OLC. If you have any ripper photos from your child's time at OLC, we would greatly appreciate any donations. Please email them through so I can get onto this job as soon as I can.

11th November - Student Free Day
23rd November - OLC AGM
2nd December - International Day of Disabilities
7th December - Christmas Concert
8th December - Year 6 Excursion Extravaganza
9th December - Year 6 Graduation, last day of school, colour run

Homework

The students homework is due on Wednesday, 16th November.

Please ensure all students are completing their homework and getting you to check it with a signature nightly and then signing the reading log and homework diary on a Tuesday afternoon before it is returned. Students who have not completed their homework will complete it during class time and during recess and lunch, an email will also be sent home to notify you. This organisation and time management skills is vital to aid in an easier transition to high school. 

Home Learning includes:

  1. Reading x 40 minutes every night - Book Club chapters due to be read by each Friday and book club role to be completed (see above). 
  2. Math - Ultimate Time tables quiz and figure out the number question challenge and emoji crack the code challenge. 
  3. Any unfinished class tasks.

K AY A, I hope you have all had a tremendous break with this cracker sunshine. 🌞 I cannot wait to see the 6H family back in the classroom for an AWESOME term 4! We are going to end their time at OLC with smiles, busy times, Confirmation, Graduation, Excursions, Incursions and lots of learning! Peace Poster: The results of the peace poster competition will be announced at a small assembly on Friday the 13th. (Just the Year 6 students will be in attendance). Week 7 and 8 of Term 4

K AY A, Can you believe that there is only 15 days left in Primary School for your child? WOW! Not only that but most of these days will include end of year excursion, practice at the Church and in the hall for Graduation and lots of end of year preparations!  Year 6 End of Year Gift  A massive thank you to the three wonderful parents who came along on Wednesday in week 6 to complete the end of year 6 gift artwork. The students did a really wonderful job on their own individual paver, which together will make up the OLC Reconciliation Pathway to the Aboriginal area at the back of the school. What an amazing legacy to leave behind - so watch this space! Well done team! Graduation Practice and Year 6 Busy Bee  Graduation Practice will start down at the Church in week 7 and 8. The students are allowed to wear their sport uniform on these days. This will be a strong focus for the next few weeks. Important Camp Reminders and Important Information

  K AY A, Can you believe that it is only  5  sleeps until we depart for Year 6 camp??? The students are going to have the most amazing time; we will be taking part in activities like wall climbing, zip-lining, abseiling and team games as well as lots of fun group activities.  Please remember we will depart OLC at 8.40 on Monday morning. Your student will need to arrive around 8.15am and place their bags for camp outside the hall in front of the double doors. They will then make their way to the classroom for the class role. Students will need to ensure they have used the bathroom as the bus is a two hour drive. They will also need to take out any medical items from their bag and provide this to the teacher in a clear zip lock bag with their name on it.  We hope the students have started to prepare their bags for camp using the camp what to bring list below.
